Presentation Proposal

General Information and Guidelines

We invite you to submit an abstract to present a session at the 10th annual Location Intelligence Summit which now includes the Oracle Spatial, HERE and LocationTech Summits. This is a valuable opportunity to share your knowledge with a respected audience of geospatial and information technology professionals. Abstract submissions will be considered and accepted on a rolling basis. Early submissions are encouraged.

Abstract selection is very competitive. Please follow the guidelines below to ensure that your abstract is considered. Criteria vary depending on the track to which you submit an abstract. Check the box that is your first choice for the track for which you would like to be considered. Those abstracts not chosen for your first choice will be considered for acceptance in another track.

Deadlines

Deadline for submitting presentations for all tracks will be February 20, 2014. Questions about these instructions can be submitted to info@locationintelligence.net. Notification of acceptance will be made on or about February 28th, 2014.

Registration Information For Speakers

Speakers whose abstracts are accepted will be given a complimentary registration to the summit on the day of their presentation. A reduced fee to attend the entire event will be provided.

Note: One complimentary registration per accepted session will be provided. Any additional co-presenters need to register for the event separately and provide appropriate registration fees. It is up to the co-presenters’ discretion which presenter to designate for the complimentary registration.

Speakers are required to complete the online registration for the summit. Further details will be sent to speakers at a later date.

Presentation Abstract

Please describe the educational content of your presentation. Your proposal must:

  • Clearly define the problem, platform or application (need to save money, need to do more with less, define a new technology, need to further a goal your organization had identified, etc.)
  • Note both the technical and human issues, if applicable.
  • Offer a suggestion as to which session (Platform or Application) your presentation would most apply.
  • Provide details on selected solution (challenges to implementing, how it works today, return on investment, lessons learned, etc.)

Media Agreement

We require speakers to allow us to share the content of their presentation (e.g. slides and audio) in an educational format to allow individuals who were not able to attend to be able to gain a sense of what was discussed. Please bring your presentation to the registration desk on a thumb-drive which we can keep. We also require speakers to allow us to take photographs, videotape, or digital recordings of the speaker during the summit.
