Rob Agee

Rob Agee is Lead Partner Development Manager for Microsoft MapPoint. Agee’s team manages the partner ecosystem of resellers, ISVs and system integrators. He also leads data and content acquisition including real time location services from mobile operators. He has more than 14 years experience with wireless and media technologies. Prior to joining Microsoft, he was director of business development for Qpass, a mobile commerce and billing software company. In the early 1990s, he founded Intercor, Inc. a publishing and consulting firm focused on digital and online media. He later went on to run Enroute Media Networks, a corporate television network that delivered content and media through wireless technologies.

Mike Agron

Mike Agron has been with MapInfo for over four years as the Managing Director of the Partner Sales, OEM & Enterprise Alliances group. He and his team are responsible for revenue generation through all of MapInfo’s partner channels in the Americas. Additionally, he is responsible for managing and implementing the company’s strategic global enterprise alliances and "go to market programs," with a specific focus on Business Intelligence. Over the past 20 years, he has developed his expertise by creating and offering partner led solutions for solving business problems in the public and private sectors. He has served in various capacities with such industry leaders as EDS, Apple Computer and Oracle Corporation.

Keith Armonaitis

Keith Armonaitis is President and CEO of Cubistix. A founding partner, Armonaitis is responsible for providing executive leadership and direction for the company and serving as company spokesperson. A visionary and seasoned business executive with over 15 years of executive experience in the IT industry, he brings a wealth of strategic, technical and leadership experience to his role as Chief Executive Officer.

Prior to founding Cubistix, Armonaitis co-founded and remains a partner of SideSmile, Inc., an Internet development company, servicing clients in small, medium and large corporations. He has been instrumental in guiding the IT strategies for companies such as the national headquarters of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Pearson Technology, Simon and Schuster and Amerifoods Inc. Armonaitis holds a Masters Degree in IT Management from Stevens Institute of Technology, a Bachelors Degree from Rutgers University, and IT Project Management certification from Stevens Institute of Technology.

Kevin Babyak

Kevin Babyak is a Statistician at Marketing Systems Group in Fort Washington, PA. He has over 10 years of experience in the development of statistical applications and data analysis. Babyak has published research in the areas of time series forecasting and public policy. He is the coauthor of the award winning book, Philadelphia: A New Urban Direction. Babyak is currently involved in the development of nonparametric and discrete choice models of communications and entertainment demand.

Richard Barnwell

Richard Barnwell is Chief Technology Officer at PanGo Networks a provider of location based systems for real-time asset visibility and context-aware information delivery. Previously, Barnwell served as VP of Services at Axeda Systems, a pioneer of pervasive Internet based machine to machine (M2M) technology. At Axeda he assisted global OEM customers incorporate remote monitoring and autonomic computing capability to their products. Prior to Axeda, Barnwell was CTO at ZEFER, an eBusiness consulting company. At ZEFER he consulted with global companies on their eBusiness strategy and implementation, created the company’s wireless and mobility practice, and led the advanced technology efforts. Earlier in his career, Barnwell led both the R&D and implementation of multinational ERP solutions as the Director of Technology at Infinium Software and as a business unit manager at Dun and Bradstreet Software.

Barnwell is an IEEE 802.11 working group member and an EPCglobal Software Action Group member. He is a regular speaker at conferences related to LBS and RFID. Barnwell has a master’s degree in Information Systems from Brighton University, England and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from DeMontford University, England.

Craig Barton

Yvan Bedard

Since 1986, Dr Yvan Bédard has been a professor of GIS and Spatial Databases in the Department of Geomatics Sciences at Laval University in Quebec City. He holds Canada’s NSERC Industrial Chair in Geospatial Database for Decision Support. He has 24 years of experience in GIS and is an active member of the Centre for Research in Geomatics where he acted as Director for seven years. Dr Bédard has a multi-million dollar record in both fundamental and applied research, most projects involving major organisations across Canada and abroad.

Bédard’s experience covers experimentation in several fields with emphasis in topographic databases, transportation and public health. Technology transfer has resulted in software products being used in more than 50 countries and database designs used in major systems. He has published 150 papers and presented at over 150 conferences worldwide in addition to being one of the most active researchers of Canada’s GEOIDE network of centers of excellence. His main research interest is to improve the development of geospatial data bases by extending software engineering solutions for geospatial data and by marrying GIS with BI in a context of web-oriented interoperable infostructures. His flagships are Perceptory CASE tool and Spatial OLAP technology.

Amit Bendov

Amit Bendov is Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at ClickSoftware. From 1992 until 1999 he served in various product development positions at within the company, including Research & Development Manager and Director of Customer Support and Integration. In 1999, Bendov was made Senior Vice President of Product marketing and subsequently became responsible for all of ClickSoftware’s marketing efforts. He is a frequent presenter at ClickSoftware customer conferences and has represented ClickSoftware at a number of international events, as well. He has a B.S. in Computer Science and Statistics from Tel Aviv University.

Steve Benner

Steve Benner has held a variety of positions at ESRI over the past 17 years, in operations, sales, partner management and marketing. He is currently responsible for commercial industry solutions at ESRI as well as the integration of GIS with BI, ERP, SCM and CRM systems. Prior to joining ESRI Benner was an active duty project officer for Air Force Systems Command, responsible for project management on a number of advanced R&D projects in avionic and ballistic missile systems. He is a graduate of the University of Maine (BA) and Boston College (MBA). His diverse background in technology and business offers some unique and practical perspectives on the use of GIS in commercial applications, both now and in the future.

Normand Bernier

Normand Bernier is a B.Sc. A. in Electrical Engineering from Laval University. He has more than 23 years of experience with large industrial companies working with companies in the fields of primary metal, energy and paper as well as with research centers. He is responsible for SYNTELL’s packaged applications, and recently led the work on the integration of SYNTELL’s OLAP technology with Kheops’ GIS technology, enabling the creation of applications such as "Management of Cartographical Inventory," full-fledge applications that leverage functionality from both the decision-support and the GIS world.

Over the last few years and under his supervision, SYNTELL has also been able to successfully build and launch more than 16 new packaged decision-support products addressing functions such as: Costs management, Casting, Reduction and Mining process, Maintenance, Procurement, Inventory, Environment, Quality, Health & Safety, IT, Human Resources. Bernier is member of the Engineers’ Order of Quebec (OIQ.)

Andris Berzins

Andris Berzins has extensive experience in designing positioning solutions for enterprises in many different vertical markets and has led AeroScout’s entry into the RFID and WLAN location markets. Prior to his current position, he was Case Team Leader at Bain & Company, a global strategy-consulting firm, where he advised large corporations on operations, corporate strategy, acquisitions and market entry strategies. He has 12 years experience working with manufacturing, logistics and utility companies on operational and strategic issues. Berzins earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BSc (Hons.) from City University in London, England. He is a member of the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Council.

Brad Blumberg

A savvy real estate technologist with over 15 years of experience with the built environment, Brad Blumberg believes Smarter Agent and location-aware services will create a new paradigm in how we learn about the world around us. Blumberg has designed, built and operated over $150 million of real estate projects from residential subdivisions, office and apartment buildings, to retail centers. As an expert on public-private partnerships and economic development, Blumberg has consulted with many government, non-profit, and private sector entities on a wide-range of real estate related issues from Hospital Reuse and Realignment to Facility Planning and Urban Retail Development.

Blumberg is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP). He is a multi-state licensed real estate broker, having maintained a real state license for over 20 years. He has a BA in Policy & Management from Dickinson College, and a Master’s in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania.

Chris Bradshaw

Chris Bradshaw is vice president in charge of Autodesk’s Infrastructure Solutions Division (ISD). In his role, he sets strategy, drives growth and manages the operations for a division responsible for annual revenue in excess of $200 million. Bradshaw and his organization develop civil engineering, mapping and geospatial solutions that serve the engineering and construction, government, and communications and utilities markets. Prior to this position, he was vice president of Autodesk Building Collaboration Services, responsible for the group’s strategic growth and daily operations. His previous work experience also includes being the senior vice president of sales and marketing for Buzzsaw and prior to that, he was sales development director for AEC products in Asia-Pacific for Autodesk.

Bradshaw has extensive knowledge of brand management and product marketing on both national and international fronts, having managed and launched numerous versions of Autodesk’s industry-leading software applications, AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT, during his tenure at Autodesk. Prior to joining Autodesk, Bradshaw was manager for flight software development for the United States Air Force, where he guided the development, testing, and integration of on-board computer systems for two national space programs. Bradshaw holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Duke University.

Denise Carleton

Gilbert Castle

Gil Castle has been a GIS consultant in land use and real estate since 1978. Prior to starting Castle Consulting in 1992, he was a Regional Director of the Roulac Group of Deloitte & Touche (the real estate consulting division of the Big Five accounting firm).

Castle is a Past President of the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association, North America’s largest and oldest professional society for GIS practitioners. Castle has more than 150 publications and conference presentations to his credit, primarily on applied computer technology in land use decisions. For example, he is the overall editor for the 400 page book Profiting from a Geographic Information System, the seminal text on GIS applications in the private sector, and GIS in Real Estate, jointly published by the Appraisal Institute and GIS World, Inc. Castle has lectured at numerous universities on applied GIS technology, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Pennsylvania, Stanford University and the University of California at Berkeley. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, Cum Laude, from Harvard University, and a Master of City Planning degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

Robert Cheetham

Robert Cheetham is the founder and president of Avencia, a geospatial software design and development firm based in Philadelphia. Cheetham has an MLA in Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Japanese Studies from the University of Michigan. Prior to founding Avencia, Cheetham served as a developer and analyst for the University of Pennsylvania, the City of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Police Department. He founded Avencia to develop visualization and geospatial analysis software that makes sophisticated information available on the Internet. His recent projects have focused on urban redevelopment, conservation, real estate, and social services. Cheetham also serves as an occasional lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania School of Design and collaborates with the University of Pennsylvania Cartographic Modeling Lab.

Shane Coates

Shane Coates is the manager of channel development professional services for John Deere Company. His group is responsible for the processes of recruitment, selection, continuous improvement and transition of the dealer network. Coates has worked in various marketing and sales capacities for Deere over the past eight years. Most recently he has been involved with a project for spatial analysis of retail locations and distribution of the retail channel serving Deere’s customers. He spent the previous seven years in small business consulting, auditing and litigation support in Atlanta, Georgia. He holds an MBA from the University of Georgia and is a licensed CPA.

Kevin Coleman

Dr. Kevin G. Coleman, Ph.D., is a Kellogg School of Management Executive Scholar and a seasoned executive with nearly two decades of experience. Coleman is a sought after source of insights and information about today’s fast-paced business and technology environments and has participated in more than forty interviews and published more than a dozen white papers. He was the Chief Strategist for Netscape, and has worked for leading consulting organizations such as Deloitte & Touche and CSC Consulting.

Working with the leaders of some of the world’s largest and most prestigious companies, Coleman has assisted organizations in achieving breakthrough growth and performance by leveraging new technology to change the way business is conducted. Philip Darringer

Philip Darringer currently leads the Product Management team for Oracle Application Server Wireless in Oracle Pervasive Technologies, part of Server Technologies. At Oracle, Mr. Darringer has worked for nine years on mobile and wireless technologies, starting in 1996 as a developer for Oracle Mobile Agents. Since then, he worked as a systems architect and business development manager for mobile activities in Europe, based out of Munich, Germany. He recently returned to the United States to define the market requirements for Oracle Application Server in areas such as location-based services and mobile development frameworks. Mr. Darringer holds Bachelor and Masters of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

Bob Denaro

Leading the North American Business and Government Solutions Business Unit, Bob leverages his extensive background in the positioning, location and mapping industry to expand NAVTEQ’s business in the GIS, Fleet, Enterprise and Government markets. He joined NAVTEQ from Rand McNally & Co. where he was Senior Vice President, General Manager of Global Business Solutions, responsible for a broad range of business-to-business applications and consumer technology products and services.

Prior to joining Rand McNally, Bob was Vice President and Director of Motorola’s Consumer Telematics Products, a division he launched after five years heading the company’s GPS business. The unit introduced the first integration of wireless data cellular phones, GPS and real-time computation for the automotive industry.

Earlier in his career, Denaro launched Trimble Navigation’s Fleet Management and Vehicle Tracking Division and was co-founder and Vice President of TAU Corporation, an industrial software products company, the latter producing the first commercial differential GPS systems. He started his career in the United States Air Force where he served for nine years, the last of which was in research and development at the Navstar Global Positioning System Joint Program Office where he served as a USAF Captain.

Jeff Douglas

A native of New Zealand, Jeff Douglas relocated to Boston, MA in 2002. He is currently CEO of Absolute Software Inc -- a specialist software consulting and development company. Douglas has 10 years prior experience in the Information Technology Industry, including work in the software engineering, cryptography and project management fields. Prior to founding Absolute, Douglas was a contract software developer and consultant for corporations including Television New Zealand, Westpac Banking Corporation the New Zealand Government Communications Security Bureau and Compaq.

His focus is to manage Absolute through its expansion into the maritime surveillance and terrestrial surveillance/homeland security markets. During his tenure as CEO, Absolute has been recognized with two Deloitte Fast 50 awards, a Deloitte Fast 250 award for Asia/Pacific growth in the IT sector and a US Government Computing Award recognizing the United States Vessel Monitoring System - a large scale maritime surveillance system delivered by Absolute to the Department of Commerce.

Maryam Esfarjani

Maryam Esfarjani received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and an M.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Miami. She brings 16 years of in-depth knowledge and experience in both Biomedical Engineering and Wireless Communications fields. These skills are augmented by substantial consulting, business strategy and program management experience.

At Booz Allen, Esfarjani leads wireless and mobility solutions for government clients with emphasis on RFID technology and Total Asset Visibility solutions. In this capacity, she leads the development of emerging solutions utilizing RFID technology, manages Booz Allen’s RFID Laboratory and leads multiple RFID projects. Prior to Booz Allen, Esfarjani worked in management and engineering roles for over 13 years, supporting the design, deployment and operation of numerous commercial wireless systems.

John Fisher

John Fisher has over 20 years of experience in the geospatial industry, starting his career at the Ontario Ministry of Health, Emergency Health Services where he developed the digital mapping program for Ontario ambulances. Prior to co-founding DMTI Spatial in 1994, Fisher was President and co-owner of DigiMap, a Toronto based GIS consulting firm. His career also includes management of the GIS Department of Marshall Macklin Monaghan, a large Canadian-based international consulting engineering firm, which has been a GIS and spatial sciences leader for over 50 years, as well as the Ontario Cabinet Secretariat where he was responsible for the development of the strategic planning policy for information technology for the provincial government.

Fisher holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA), 1982, from the University of Western Ontario, and an Honours Bachelor of Science, 1980, from the University of Toronto.

Hugh H. Fletcher

Brady Foust

Dr. Brady Foust is a geographer with more than 35 years of academic and applied expertise and experience in retail site location, GIS and the creation and management of large spatial databases. He is a co-founder and Senior Vice President of Proxix Solutions, Inc., a spatial solutions company with offices in Palm Harbor, FL, Boulder, CO, and Madison, WI.

Joseph R. Franica

Mr. Francica is Editor-in-Chief and General Manager of Directions Magazine. He is also the principal of Geodezix Consulting, a company providing location-based business intelligence and strategy for corporations needing market research and geospatial application solutions. He was the past editor of Business Geographics Magazine and a regular columnist for GEOWorld Magazine from 1991 until 2001. He has published more than 100 articles on topics including market research, retail trade area analysis and the use of GIS technology for business applications. Mr. Francica is a co-founder and current CEO of GISbid.com, a project marketplace for posting and bidding on spatial information technology opportunities. Mr. Francica received his Bachelors from Rutgers University, a Master’s from Dartmouth College, and an MBA from the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.

John Frank

Barry Glick

Barry Glick has been working at the intersection of geography, information technology and business / government markets for the past 25 years. Currently, he is the President and CEO of ObjectFX Corporation, the company behind SpatialFX, the platform for location-enabling the real-time enterprise. Glick took on this role in July, 2004. Prior to ObjectFX, he was CEO and Chairman of Webraska Mobile Technologies, a provider of wireless location based services and navigation solutions, headquartered in Maisons-Laffitte, France. Glick previously had been the founding CEO and Chairman of GeoSystems Global Corporation, later re-named MapQuest.com Inc., based in Mountville PA.

Glick also worked in management and marketing positions with RR Donnelley, NAVTEQ, Spatial Data Sciences, PAR Technology Corp, General Sciences Corp and Equifax. He earned a PhD in Geography, focused on spatial analysis and modeling, from the State University of NY at Buffalo and also holds a Master’s Degree in Planning from Cornell University. He has served on the National Academy of Sciences’ Mapping Science Committee and on special committees related to intellectual property rights in the digital era. He has written articles and presented papers on a variety of topics related to locational information technology, applications of spatial data, digital rights management and related domains. Barry lives in Washington DC and Warren VT.

Michael L. Gonzales

Michael Gonzales has been a data architecture and solutions strategist for over a decade, specializing in business intelligence technologies and techniques. Gonzales manages a consulting firm, The Focus Group, Ltd., and teaches a series of DW/BI courses internationally through HandsOn-BI, LLC. Frank Grablutz

Frank Grablutz holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. He recently assumed the role of GIS Project Manager for Aqua Pennsylvania. Aqua Pennsylvania is an investor-owned water utility serving approximately 300,000 customers in about 125 municipalities in southeastern Pennsylvania. The utility is embarking on the development of a GIS of its distribution system infrastructure as part of an overall asset management program. Prior to joining Aqua Pennsylvania, Mr. Grablutz worked as a consultant on a variety of water and wastewater projects, focusing on water distribution system asset management. He has co-authored several American Water Works Association Research Foundation research reports.

John Hanke

John Hanke has an accomplished career in the interactive software industry where he has exploited advances in technology to pioneer new software categories. As a business school student at UC Berkeley, Hanke helped start Archetype Interactive, creator of the first large-scale online 3D game, "Meridian59," where he coined the term "Massively Multiplayer Internet Game." After Archetype Interactive was acquired by 3DO, Hanke co-founded Big Network, which pioneered Java-based online games and was acquired by eUniverse.

Hanke co-founded Keyhole in 2001 and guided the company through partnerships with Sony, Nvidia, and In-Q-Tel before the company was acquired by Google in October 2004. Hanke received his MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley in 1996 and has a BA in Plan II from the University of Texas at Austin. After graduation, he worked in foreign affairs for the US Government in Washington, DC and Southeast Asia.

Gary A. Hartwig

Gary Hartwig is a founder and President of AppLocation Systems Inc. a company that specializes in bringing LBS and fleet mangement solutions to enterprise clients worldwide. He has over 15 years of management experience in the emergency management and software industries. Prior to AppLocation, Hartwig served as Manager, Product Test at SignalSoft Corp. where he was responsible for final quality assurance on the company’s entire range of location enabled products on a variety of platforms and was also involved with the implemetation of improved business processes to successfully design, develop and launch product releases on time and under budget.

Hartwig was also Director of the Forest Protection for the British Columbia Forest Service, one of the largest fire suppression and emergency response organizations in North America. During his years in this public sector agency, he helped to streamline the operations through organizational re-engineering and the implementation of technology.

Howard Hayes

As Vice President - Dynamic Content Services, Howard Hayes utilizes his business strategy, management and leadership capabilities to lead the development of dynamic content products for NAVTEQ. Most notably, Hayes was instrumental in the launch of NAVTEQ Traffic™, NAVTEQ Map Voice Data and NAVTEQ SDAL 1.8.

Prior to working at NAVTEQ, Hayes was employed by Outboard Marine Corporation where he served as Vice President - Strategy. Previously, Hayes established Ceres Partnership where he led an effort to apply the business model principles of the managed health care industry to launch a new business entity focused on providing automotive collision repair services. Hayes spent the first eight years of his career working as a management consultant for McKinsey and Company, where he focused primarily on developing business strategies for the retail industry. Hayes holds a MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Dartmouth College.

Mike Hickey

Michael Hickey is COO, responsible for worldwide operations. In this capacity, Hickey leads MapInfo’s global efforts to align all resources (people, process and systems) to most effectively drive the company’s global growth strategy. Functionally, Hickey has responsibility for each of MapInfo’s Strategic Geographic Business Units, Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Data.

Hickey has held a number of executive management positions at MapInfo. Previously, he served in the roles of executive vice president, sales and marketing, group vice president of operations, and vice president and general manager of MapInfo’s Information Business. As Vice President & General Manager of that business he grew the business 175 percent over a 2½-year period. The creation of this strong information business has enabled MapInfo to excel in the growth of its solution offerings and has given MapInfo a competitive advantage in the market. Hickey also spearheaded MapInfo’s drive into Predictive Analytics through the development and acquisition of new core competencies. In addition, Hickey has led MapInfo’s Operational Excellence initiative, introducing business management disciplines into the business and driving continuous improvement through its operations.

Prior to joining MapInfo in 1995, Hickey worked at AlliedSignal for nine years in various management positions. He developed functional experience in sales, industry marketing, product management and business planning. As part of AlliedSignal’s Total Quality Initiative (TQM), Hickey was selected for a leadership role and was certified as a Total Quality Master. Hickey became proficient at re-engineering business processes to be market and customer driven. These skills helped him turn around three struggling product lines in two separate AlliedSignal divisions.

Rich Hollander

Rich Hollander is President of the CustomerID Division at Buxton, which provides sophisticated customer and market research that allows retailers to understand and identify their best customers and to create new locations that better serve their customers. The product also provides highly accurate information to allow businesses to target those best customers for direct mail. Hollander brings a wealth of retail experience and knowledge to his clients. In his earlier career, Hollander fulfilled executive management responsibilities as well as developing and executing new company start-ups for Tandy Corporation. He was recruited by Cash America, the country’s largest pawn business, to run a start-up rent-to-own company. Hollander has been with Buxton since 2000. He earned a B.A. degree from Humboldt State University in California.

Todd Hollenbeck

Todd Hollenbeck is Managing Director at FedEx Services Corporation. He joined FedEx in 1991 as a Business Analyst to engineer software development processes and metrics, and later worked in international systems development as a manager in charge of data capture systems. In 1997 Hollenbeck was assigned to support all existing document scanning systems for FedEx and to lead a distributed document imaging project that is now in place for the company worldwide. He is now responsible for developing and supporting the systems that support the FedEx Express station and courier operations including forecasting, scheduling, dispatching, route planning and barcode scanning.

Prior to joining FedEx, Hollenbeck was an Aerospace Engineer at General Dynamics Corporation, where he became a recognized expert in the areas of computer simulation technologies and flight control design. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fla., and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Crummer Graduate School of Business in Winter Park, Fla.

Michael Jackson

Professor Mike Jackson joined the University of Nottingham in April 2005 and is Director of the University’s Centre for Geospatial Sciences a new research entity established to specialise in location services, geospatial intelligence and Telematics. He had previously held a number of technical and managerial posts in industry and Government including being Director for Space at QinetiQ (the privatised UK Ministry of Defence’s Defence Research and Evaluation Agency[DERA]), Head of Location Services at 3G Telecommunications Company, Three, and CEO of Laser-Scan Holdings plc. He is a current non-executive Director of the OGC and of its European Subsidiary.

Nicholas Jacquez

Nicholas Jacquez is President and Chief Executive Officer of TerraSeer, a space-time analysis software company. Prior to co-founding TerraSeer in 2001, he spent 11 years in marketing and line management with the Coca-Cola Company. While at Coke’s Atlanta headquarters, he led national strategic planning for the Fast Food and Convenience Retail channels. As Group Director of Marketing for the North Central Area of Coca-Cola Fountain, he and his team managed Coke’s relationships with leading retailers like Applebee’s, White Castle and Casey’s General Stores. Before joining Coca-Cola, Nick spent six years on the advertising agency side, helping to build a portfolio of blue chip brands that included Kraft Foods, Land O’ Lakes, Betty Crocker, 3M and Dairy Queen. His career demonstrates a history of success in creating or identifying, and then leveraging strategic innovation to drive business results.

Brent A. Jones

Brent A. Jones provides senior level management oversight on GIS government, energy and telecommunications projects and personnel at James W. Sewall Company. A professional engineer and land surveyor, Jones has expertise in civil and environmental engineering, utility design and construction management and surveying/GPS, as well as extensive environmental permitting and regulatory compliance experience. Since 1996, he has supervised the development of electric, gas and pipeline software applications for Sewall clients nationwide, overseeing GIS data conversion, database design and proprietary software development. In addition to projects in utilities location, GIS landbase mapping and addressing, Jones has brought to market modular software tools for utility consequence and risk analysis.

David Klein

David Klein is an independent marketing communications consultant serving clients in the technology sector, including SpatialPoint, Empower Geographics and Microsoft. Prior to opening his own firm, Klein worked for six years at MapInfo Corporation, a global software company based in Troy, New York, where he held various positions in corporate and product marketing. He has also worked as a college instructor in creative writing and American literature, in the newspaper and publishing industry, and is a published fiction writer. Klein holds a BA in Economics from the State University of New York at Albany, an MA in Creative Writing from the State University of New York at Buffalo and an MS in Technical Communication from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Jim Knudson

Jim Knudson is the director of the Bureau of Geospatial Technologies in the Office for Information Technology within the Governor’s Office of Administration. He is graduate of West Virginia University with a B.S. degree in Geology and an M.S. degree in Computer Science. He is an Oracle Certified Professional, and is certified as a database administrator for Oracle 8i and Oracle 9i database systems. He has worked for numerous IT/GIS consulting companies in his 18 year career, including HRB-Singer, Keystone Management Systems, Advanced Technology Solutions, GeoSystems/MapQuest.com and GeoDecisions/Gannett Fleming

For five years, Knudson worked closely with several Pennsylvania state agencies as a contractor including acting as the onsite GIS Contract Manager at PENNDOT, as the GIS expert on the DCNR Greenways project, and he was actively involved with the state’s PAGIC GIS coordinating body, PaMAGIC, and the PA I-Team. In October 2003, Knudson was appointed as the first Geospatial Technologies Coordinator for the Commonwealth of PA. In this position, he is responsible for coordinating statewide geospatial efforts for Pennsylvania, creating a statewide geospatial vision, drafting the first Commonwealth geospatial strategic plan, establishing a Homeland Security geospatial framework, coordinating the efforts of 24 agencies under the Governor’s jurisdiction, and creating and operating a consolidated geospatial data repository and application deployment architecture.

Christian Kotscher

Christian Kotscher is a Solution Executive for IBM’s Wireless Broadband & Sensing Solutions. He is responsible for working with clients, business partners, and alliances to develop end-to-end solutions based on wireless and pervasive technology. In particular, Kotscher focuses on strategies and methodologies that leverage pervasive and wireless technologies in Mobile Workforce Automation and is currently creating LBS (Location Based Services) optimized solutions for IBM and key partners. Before joining IBM, Kotscher led consulting teams for MetLife and GE Capital. He also co-founded a technology consulting company that he lead and then sold to a national staffing organization. Kotscher started his career in Europe as a financial controller and has earned his Certificate in Management Accounting.

Jeremy Kreitler

Jeremy Kreitler joined Yahoo - the most popular destination for local information (Nielsen NetRatings, February 2005) - in 2002 as a product manager for Yahoo! Local & Maps. Bringing nine years of online local product development experience to Yahoo!, Kreitler is responsible for Yahoo’s product strategy in maps, local community and mobile access

Prior to joining Yahoo!, Kreitler held product management positions at MapQuest/AOL, eCollege, BellSouth Intelliventures, BellSouth.net and Turner Broadcasting where he helped drive product strategy and was responsible for managing the day-to-day business for multiple product lines. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in cultural anthropology and psychology from Emory University.

Tony Lea

Dr. Tony Lea is Senior Vice President and Chief Methodologist of Environics Analytics. He has both master’s and doctorate degrees from the University of Toronto. Lea has an international reputation for his expertise in geodemographics, predictive modelling, data mining, market analysis, business GIS, retail site evaluation modelling and spatial statistics. He has worked on or led the development of a number of world-renowned cluster systems including Lifestyles?®, Wealthstyles?®, PSYTE?®, Financial PSYTE?® and PSYTE Quebec?® for Canada and PSYTE U.S.?® for the US. During 2004 he was the chief architect of PRIZM CE, the new geodemographic cluster system for Canada. He is also overseeing development of new data products and models at Environics Analytics.

Over the last 25 years, Lea has worked on a wide range of analytical marketing research projects for clients and developed many innovative geographically based research and modelling methods. Prior to joining Environics Analytics, he was Senior Research Associate with the Centre for the Study of Commercial Activity at Ryerson University. Before this he was Managing Director of MapInfo Canada and previously Senior Vice President of Compusearch where he was a key leader for over 20 years before its acquisition by MapInfo in 2001.

Alan Leidner

Alan Leidner currently works for Booz Allen Hamilton as a Senior Associate within the Location Aware Enterprise (LAE) practice. Leidner, with a Masters Degree in Urban Planning from Brooklyn’s Pratt Institute, worked for 35 years as a planner and manager with New York City government. Starting in the late 1980’s he served as MIS Director of the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) where he initiated the City’s Enterprise GIS Program and oversaw the development of the City’s digital basemap.

Leidner subsequently served as Assistant Commissioner in the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications (DOITT), in charge of the City’s GIS Utility. During this time he organized and managed the Emergency Mapping and Data Center (EMDC) which provided information and mapping services to 9/11 responders. Leidner is a recipient of the 2000 Sloan Public Service Award, the 2002 ESRI Presidential Award, and was awarded a Medallion and Certificate of Appreciation from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, General James R. Clapper, January, 2004. NYC’s GIS Utility was a Harvard University, Kennedy Center Innovations Award Finalist in 2003.

Benjamin Lewis

Ben Lewis is a Senior Analyst for Advanced Technology Solutions, Inc. in Lancaster, PA where he designs and develops web-based GIS systems using open source and ESRI-based tools. Lewis has participated in the evolution of GIS technology for 15 years, working in academia, government and private industry. For many years he has focused on approaches that lower the barrier to implementation of web-based GIS applications and services, and has found open source software provides a compelling platform for broadening access.

Amy Liu

Dr. Amy Liu is a Geodemographer at Marketing Systems Group in Fort Washington, PA. She has over 8 years of experience working with GIS and was an Assistant Professor of Geography at West Chester University, where she taught GIS and statistics. Prior to this, she was awarded an U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Research Traineeship to complete her doctoral training in Geography at the University of Cincinnati. Liu is currently interested in telecommunications demand modeling and GIS applications development.

Xavier Lopez

Dr. Xavier Lopez is Director of Oracle’s Spatial, Location and Network technologies group. Dr. Lopez leads Oracle’s efforts to incorporate spatial technologies across Oracle’s database, application server, and eBusiness applications. He has 14 years of experience in the area of GIS and spatial databases. He holds advanced engineering and planning degrees from University of Maine, MIT, and the University of California, Davis. He’s a recipient of Fulbright, Ford and UC Berkeley Postdoctoral Fellowships investigating GIS technologies. Dr. Lopez has been active in numerous academic and government research initiatives on geographic information. He is the author of a book on government spatial information policy and has authored more than 50 scientific and industry publications in areas related to spatial information technology. Finally, he has served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nepal.

George Moon

George Moon has more than 25 years of experience with complex, multi-user, spatial information systems. He joined MapInfo Corporation following the acquisition of the SpatialWare business unit from Unisys Corporation in 1996. Since that time, Moon has been the driving force in developing MapInfo’s enterprise mapping R&D. Through his leadership, the organization has developed numerous new products and technologies.

As MapInfo’s CTO, Moon’s office focuses on standards and their development impacts, public technology briefings and pre-commercial development and investigation of advanced technology. Mr. Moon is a member of the GeoWorld Editorial Advisory Board and writes a quarterly column focusing on GIS in the enterprise.

Ted Morgan

Ted Morgan has built a career on helping large corporations leverage new technologies to change their business models, establish new business units and create new products/ services. He most recently served as the Vice President of Marketing for edocs, a provider of Customer Self-Service solutions that was sold to Siebel Systems in January 2005. At edocs, Morgan established and led the product development efforts inside the company, ran the marketing organization and was a member of the Executive Team. edocs’ solutions are used by millions of consumers and business to manage all aspects of account relationships from billing, reporting and analysis to ordering new services and paying bills. Customers included Verizon Wireless, AT&T Wireless, T-mobile, Cingular, Sprint, Worldcom, Franklin Templeton, American Express, GE Capital and Humana.

Prior to edocs, Morgan was Group Product Manager for Open Market, one of the early leaders of the e-commerce revolution. He led the commerce product line, which held the patents on key capabilities such as online credit card transactions and online subscriptions. Before edocs, Morgan was a Product Manager at Harbinger Net Services, one of the first providers of B2B Internet solutions. Prior to the technology industry Morgan spent four years in the financial services industry as part of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Alliance Capital and Allen & Company. Morgan has an undergraduate in mathematics from Georgetown University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Tim O'Reilly

Tim O'Reilly is the founder and CEO of O'Reilly Media, Inc., thought by many to be the best computer book publisher in the world. O'Reilly also publishes online through the O'Reilly Network (www.oreillynet.com) and hosts conferences on technology topics. Tim is an activist for open source and open standards, and an opponent of software patents and other incursions of new intellectual property laws into the public domain.

Nora Parker

Ms. Parker is the Senior Managing Editor of Directions Magazine. She helped found the publication in 1998 and is a member of the board of directors. She accepted an active editorial role in 2003. In addition to helping edit Directions Magazine, she also assists in program development for the "Directions on Location Technology and Business Intelligence" conference. Many of you will remember Ms. Parker as the founding editor of Business Geographics magazine and chairperson of the conference by the same name during the 1990s. Ms. Parker received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado and a Master of Science degree from the University of South Carolina, specialized in GIS. Previous to becoming an industry advocate through publishing and conferencing activities, she was a GIS-focused management consultant with Ernst & Young, and an applications specialist with Criterion. She and her daughter live in Steamboat Springs, CO, where she dances (ballet and Irish) and plays outside (fly fishing, hiking, telemark skiing and whitewater paddling).

Jack Pellicci

Jack Pellicci leads the Business Development Group for Oracle’s North American Public Sector where he is responsible for positioning Oracle’s strategic capabilities with customers and partners and generating new business with the US and Canadian Governments. Pellicci joined Oracle in 1992 after retiring from the U.S. Army as a Brigadier General with 30 years experience leading and training people, managing technology and improving productivity in command and staff assignments in both peace and war.

Immediately before joining Oracle, Pellicci was the Commanding General of the US Army’s Personnel Information Systems Command where he led a large work force of military and civilian employees as well as commercial contractors to provide Information Technology (IT) support to 1.5 million Army soldiers and civilians. In this position, he also served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Total Army Personnel Community and was responsible for the integration of IT initiatives for the Active, Reserve, National Guard and civilian components. Pellicci also served as the Deputy and then acting Director of Training for the U. S. Army and was responsible for policy and funding for technology-based training and education.

Sean Phelan

Sean Phelan, founder and chairman of Multimap.com, is an established personality in the high technology and new media arena, and a pioneer in internet mapping. Phelan has exceptionally broad knowledge and consulting experience in IT, corporate networking and telecommunications for which is underpinned by a strong technical background. He holds an MBA from Institute Theseus, in Sophia Antipolis, France, and an engineering degree from the University of Sussex.

Prior to founding Multimap, Phelan was a principal consultant in KPMG’s Telecommunications and Media Convergence practice, where he advised major clients on products, services, regulation and marketing strategies. Phelan had previously worked at the Yankee Group Europe, where he acted as principal analyst, consulting on data communications markets and trends. His areas of knowledge include new media and the internet; global positioning systems; mobile data services; corporate networking and telecommunications; and database, systems and network implementation.

Gil Piddington

Gil Piddington was named CIO & SVP at DecisionOne in November 2001. Since joining the company, he has focused on implementing entirely new application systems and services, electronically integrating DecisionOne’s business unit systems with those of customers and partners, as well as with one another, while upgrading the IT infrastructure and reducing annual expenses by 40%. Prior to joining the company, Piddington managed 2,000 people and a $400M expense budget supporting the global IT infrastructure, and major customer outsourcing services at Nortel Networks.

Most of his career was spent with Unisys and its predecessor Burroughs Corporation, where he managed all of the worldwide IT infrastructure functions in the 1990’s. Mr. Piddington was a Captain at Strategic Air Command Headquarters in the United States Air Force where he worked as a systems programmer and data center operations manager. He received a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the Virginia Military Institute, and an MBA in Marketing from the College of William & Mary.

Andrew Pitcairn

Andrew Pitcairn is Director of Business Development and Strategic Sales for GlobeXplorer. Pitcairn brings over 25 years of experience in the spatial industry, having worked in senior roles for the likes of Etak (now TeleAtlas), Trimble and AOL’s MapQuest. He has been focusing on developing GlobeXplorer’s relationships in the real estate, insurance, GIS, and location-based services sectors.

Paul Rappoport

Dr. Paul Rappoport is an Associate Professor of Economics at Temple University. He has over 25 years of experience in data analysis, modeling and statistical assessment, with a specialization in telecommunications demand analysis. Rappoport has written extensively on telecom demand models. His current research interests include: modeling consumer’s willingness to pay; the construction of internet metrics; assessing the Digital Divide; specifying and modeling business broadband; forecasting internet demand and measuring the nature of network externalities. He is a Senior Fellow at Columbia University’s Center for Tele-Information. He received his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in 1974.

Carl Reed

Dr. Carl Reed is currently the Chief Technology Officer of the Open Geospatial Consortium, Inc. (OGC), a non-profit international standards organization with a current membership of 270 commercial, government, and academic organizations. The OGC provides a consensus forum within which the members collaborate to solve interoperability and standards related problems for the both geospatial community as well as users of geospatial content and technology in the broader IT sector.

Prior to the OGC, Reed was the vice president of geospatial marketing at Intergraph. This was after a long tenure at GIS software company Genasys II, where he served as chief technology officer for Genasys II worldwide. From 1989 to 1996, Reed was president of the Genasys Americas operation. Before his tenure at Genasys, Reed worked at Autometric for six years as GIS division manager, developing a variety of systems for the civilian branches of the U.S. federal government as well as for the military. He received his PhD in Geography, specializing in GIS technology, from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1978. In 1996, in recognition of his contributions to the GIS industry, he was voted one of the top ten most influential people in the industry.

Hal Reid

Hal Reid is the senior technical editor for Directions Magazine and a private consultant. He was one of the earliest practitioners of mapping analysis in the retail franchise field and holds the designation of Master of Corporate Real Estate (MCR) from CoreNet Global. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Thunderbird, The Garvin School of International Management.

Valerie Richardson

Valerie Richardson is the Vice President of Real Estate for The Container Store, Inc., a Dallas-based retailer of storage and organization products with 34 stores nationwide. She is responsible for locating and evaluating new store locations and for coordinating the design, construction and maintenance of those stores. Prior to joining The Container Store in the fall of 2000, Richardson was Senior Vice President - Real Estate and Development for Ann Taylor, Inc., the specialty women’s apparel retailer, where she administered the company’s aggressive store expansion strategy for Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor Loft.

Before her years at Ann Taylor, Richardson was Vice President of Real Estate and Development for the Superstore Division of Barnes & Noble, Inc., the country’s largest bookselling retailer. Prior to Barnes & Noble, she was a Partner in the Shopping Center Division of the Dallas-based developer, Trammell Crow Company. She earned an M.B.A. in Real Estate from the University of North Texas and a B.S. in Education from Southwest Texas State University.

Adena Schutzberg

Adena Schutzberg is Executive Editor of Directions Magazine and contributes to its widely-read weekly electronic newsletters and website. Before joining Directions Magazine, Schutzberg founded and edited GIS Monitor for nearly five years. She is also the Principal of ABS Consulting Group, Inc., a GIS consulting firm providing services to clients including the Open Geospatial Consortium and GIS software and imagery companies.

Before opening her own company, Schutzberg headed U.S. operations for UK-based Cadcorp, and held several positions at ESRI over eight years. She began her career heading Arthur D. Little’s CAD/GIS lab and teaching college geography. She holds a BA in Chemistry from the University of Chicago and an MS in Geography from Pennsylvania State University.

Paul Sill

For over 11 years Paul Sill worked internally at two of the nation’s largest retailers, Blockbuster Entertainment and Sears, Roebuck and Company in the market research and real estate areas. Founded in 2001, Forum Analytics quickly established itself as an innovative leader in the use of customer and market data for real estate, marketing and strategic decision-making. Forum has helped clients such as Ace Hardware, Saks, Trek Bicycle, The Great Indoors, DeVry University, University of Chicago, Cousins Submarines and others maximize the value of their data assets and develop customer-driven decision support tools through advanced analytics. Sill earned a Masters degree in Geography and is an Adjunct Professor of Geography at Northern Illinois University.

Mark Smith

Mark Smith is responsible for the overall direction of Ventana Research, and drives the global performance management research agenda, which covers both business and technology areas. An industry veteran with more than 16 years of experience, he is a frequent speaker at conferences, authors the Business Performance Management column in Intelligent Enterprise magazine, and is a faculty member and Advisory Board member of The Data Warehouse Institute (TDWI). He is also the community editor of IntelligentBPM.com, the industry’s first independent forum for information, news and discussion about business performance management. Before founding Ventana Research, Smith worked at companies including SAP Portals, META Group, Oracle and IRI Software.

Ross Smith

Ross Smith joined PA in 2003 in Boston and he is now engaged as a Management Consultant in the delivery of complex IS projects primarily in the Utilities and Telecommunications. Smith is an international IS/GIS Project Management and Systems Integration professional with a M.Sc. in GIS and over 14 years of commercial application development and project management experience.

Prior to joining PA, Smith lead the GIS Professional Services Group for a large engineering firm, overseeing projects across Europe. He now works as a Management Consultant lending his expertise and experience to helping clients manage the delivery of complex IS projects and achieving maximum business value from their IT/IS investments. He has a BA in Geography from Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada and an M.Sc. in GIS earned in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Mark Snow

Cox Communications is the third largest cable provider in the nation, and has championed one of the most successful integration stories of location technology with business intelligence. Come hear how it was done and what tools were used. Mark has been in the communications industry for eleven years, beginning at GTE in the early 1990s and continuing with Cox Communications since 2000. He is considered a thought leader in the Business Intelligence / Location Intelligence integration space and speaks frequently at industry and specialty conferences around the nation. Most recently, Mark was named Divisional Director of Field Marketing in March 2004. Prior to that, he was Director of Marketing Analysis for Cox’s consumer and business units and Manager of Market Planning and Analysis for Cox Business Services. He holds an MBA from Emory University and a BA from the College of Charleston.

Ronen Soffer

Ronen Soffer recently accepted the post of Executive Vice President after heading the Professional Services Team at Telmap since 2001. Ronen is a primary figure at Telmap and has played a key part in realizing the company’s vision. Prior to Telmap, Ronen headed up Applications at Tevel Telecom Ltd., where he characterized and managed the development of several applications for the company’s Engineering, Marketing and Sales Divisions. Before working at Tevel Telecom Ltd., he was Head of Project Management for a local System Integration company. He embarked on his successful career in the elite Software Unit of the Israeli Air Force where he was in charge of a large-scale project for the design, development and deployment of an innovative tactical communications system.

David Sonnen

Mr. Sonnen founded Integrated Spatial Solutions, Inc. in 1991. The company provides market development and software design to the spatial information management industry. Among its clients are TRW, Oracle, Microsoft, Autodesk, MapInfo and Computer Associates.

Mr. Sonnen has been involved in the SIM marketplace for more than 30 years and has been IDC’s senior consultant for spatial information management since 1991. His Spatial Information Management reports are widely regarded as the industry’s most accurate and influential thought leadership and economic information.

His experiences include the design, implementation, management and marketing of spatial and other large-scale information systems. Before founding ISSI, Mr. Sonnen held senior positions in both commercial and government organizations. He also has extensive experience in design of large distributed database systems.

Rob Stephens

As director of technology strategy for SAS Worldwide Marketing, Rob Stephens and his team are responsible for establishing SAS’ technology vision and strategy. He works closely with customers, prospects, analysts and industry thought leaders to understand the business pressures placed upon organizations and the technology implications for SAS. He also uses information on current and emerging technologies to develop comprehensive, market-driven strategies for SAS products and technologies.

Previously, Mr. Stephens managed SAS business intelligence product managers and strategists in developing industry-leading business intelligence software. He has also served as program manager for OLAP, visualization and spatial information product initiatives at SAS. Earlier in his career, Stephens served as a systems engineer and application development consultant for Genasys II Inc, Xerox Engineering Systems, Ultimap Corporation and Westinghouse Landmark GIS where his primary focus was on spatial information management and its business application.

He received a bachelor’s degree in geography from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a master’s degree in geography from the University of South Carolina at Columbia.

Dean Stoecker

Dean is president and co-founders of SRC, LLC, and a Location Intelligence veteran of 22 years. His strong knowledge of industry dynamics, technology trends and applications of micromarketing and spatial technologies has led SRC into a leadership role in the design, development and deployment of Integrated Micromarketing Systems with more than 60,000 customers worldwide. His content background is extensive having been in management roles with Dun & Bradstreet and Strategic Mapping. His understanding of location-based, business intelligence software and business process requirements led SRC in the creation of advanced component technologies which provide data, country, GIS and platform independence that support single user desktop to departmental to enterprise-wide solutions for Fortune 500 companies. Under Dean’s leadership, SRC has deployed advanced location based technologies for global companies including BP, Sprint, Bank of America and Ford Motor Company, and under OEM relationships with ESRI, Generation 5 and the U.S. Census Bureau. He received his MBA from Pepperdine University and a BS in International Business from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1979.

James Stone

Jim Stone is Founder and President of geoVue, which he founded in 1993 after six years at Northland Investment Corporation. His vision is to provide companies with flexible, cost-effective location intelligence solutions that accelerate the site selection process and improve business decisions. At Northland, he was Vice President and Director of Acquisitions, directly responsible for the purchase of $25 million of commercial real estate between 1988 and 1990. With the advent of the real estate recession in 1990, he founded and became Director of Northland’s Advisory Services Group from 1990-1993. During this time he built numerous computer-based financial models used to evaluate complex development and rehabilitation projects. Prior to joining Northland, Stone held positions in similar firms in the area of finance and asset management.

Stone is a member of the DMA MTIC Council, the CRE advisory council, and is a technology vendor representative for the NRF. With over 25 years of experience, he is a recognized leader in this industry. He is a frequent speaker at events such as Retail Systems, ICSC, Realcomm, NCREIF, NACORE, and is a regular contributor of articles to many retail, restaurant, and real estate publications. Stone holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting/ Finance) from Southern Methodist University and is certified as a Real Property Administrator by the Building Owners and Managers International.

Andrew Updegrove

Andrew Updegrove, a co-founder and partner of the Boston law firm of Gesmer Updegrove LLP, has been structuring and representing technology consortia since 1988. During that time period, he has worked with more than 70 such organizations, and has been retained by many of the largest technology companies in the world to assist them in forming standard-setting and promotional consortia. He has also written and spoken extensively on the topics of consortia and standard setting, has given testimony to the United States Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission on the same topics, and has filed "friend of the court" briefs on a pro bono basis with the Federal Circuit Court, Supreme Court and Federal Trade Commission on leading standards litigation

Besides working with consortia, Updegrove has a broad range of experience in representing both mature and emerging high technology companies in all aspects of their legal affairs, and has represented many hundreds of startup companies with respect to their strategic and legal needs, assisting them in their progress from a concept to a mature company. In 2004, he was named one of the 100 top attorneys in Massachusetts in a peer survey of all attorneys in the state conducted by Law and Politics. Steve Walden

Steve Walden is Vice President and General Manager - Centrus Division at Group 1 Software, Inc., a Pitney Bowes Company (NYSE: PBI). He is responsible for Group 1’s business geographics product line. Walden has more than 10 years of management experience in the GIS and Business Geographics field, starting in the early 1990’s at Strategic Mapping.

In 1996, Walden joined Qualitative Marketing Software (QMSoft), a pioneer in applying geography to operational and marketing applications. As Vice President of Marketing, he helped drive explosive growth of the organization, culminating in a $72 million acquisition by Sagent Technology in 1999. Most recently, Walden served as Vice President and General Manager - Centrus Division for Sagent, where he was Vice President and General Manager for Sagent’s business geographics business unit. Walden is a graduate of the Menlo College School of Business Administration and currently resides in Boulder County, Colorado.

Paul Watson

Dr. Paul Watson graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in Natural Sciences in 1989 and a PhD in Magnetic Resonance Imaging in 1994. As Chief Scientist, he guides Laser-Scan’s technical strategy. He chairs the design team, providing consultancy to development projects and the Sales team. Watson has worked for several years as a principal consultant in geospatial and object modelling. He has been an author and contributor to open industry standards for interoperability and was the principal author of the representation of topology within GML3.

Since joining Laser-Scan in 1999, Watson has worked on design, implementation and project management of a broad range of enterprise geospatial projects. He has been instrumental in re-architecting Laser-Scan’s geoprocessing technology to address the challenges of enterprise spatial data integration.

William E. Webb

William E. Webb has more than 15 years of diversified management, marketing, sales, acquisitions, management consulting, information technology (IT) and venture capital experience on an international level. He is currently Director, Homeland Security for Unisys responsible for system and network architecture development, security and operations for various multi-tiered initiatives. He works with JTTF, FBI and CIA in homeland security initiatives. Before that, he was COO and Senior Vice President for Business Development for KNOA, an interactive communications and knowledge platform.

Webb served as Principal Strategist and Director Financial Services and Hi-Technology Consulting for Iplanet, the AOL/SUN/Netscape Alliance. He was responsible for the Financial, Hi-tech and International strategic consulting practices. He also was Director, Electronic Commerce and Director, Year 2000 services for Ernst & Young. He served as tech advisor and risk assessment advisor to global M&A teams. Before that he was a senior information engineer at KPMG.

Judith Woodhall

Judith Woodhall is the Managing Director of the ComCARE Alliance where she is currently focused on two major initiatives: the development of the Emergency Provider Access Directory (EPAD) and the deployment of the National Emergency Alerting and Response Systems (NEARS) program designed to deploy the directory for the geographic targeting and cooperative exchange of emergency incident information among emergency response entities. In addition, she acts as Chief Operating Officer for the entire ComCARE organization.

Woodhall has over 25 years of experience coupling information technology with business management. Prior to ComCARE, she served as President for a regional management consulting firm, as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer for a financial services organization, as Chief Information Officer for an executive search and Internet solutions company, and as the head of a global organization responsible for e-business initiatives. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester and a master’s degree in computer systems management from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Mark Zygmontowicz

Mr. Zygmontowicz is managing director of sales for MapInfo-Thompson. He has been a consultant to the retail industry for 22 years and has worked with major retail customers, including Bombay Company, The Home Depot and Brinker International during his tenure. In his current role, he directs the sales and marketing activities for MapInfo-Thompson.
